Jose Miguel Navarro, 87, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. He was a native of Patillas, Puerto Rico and a longtime resident of Fort Myers, Florida.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation in his honor on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. Until 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Jesus the Worker Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. A burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Jose lived a life filled with simple joys and genuine connections. He cherished the beauty of the natural world, finding fulfillment in tending to his chickens, meticulously cultivating his yard, and simply being outdoors. These quiet pursuits reflected his peaceful nature and his appreciation for the small wonders of life.
Jose's love for his family was unwavering. He is survived by his loving wife, Ana Navarro; children, Jose Navarro (Alma) and Bibiana Navarro (Travis Wells); grandchildren, Isiah Thomas (Hayley), Miguel Thomas, Ana Navarro, Joshua Navarro, Tatyanna Wells, and Travis Wells; great-grandchildren, Ariella Thomas, Yonit Thomas, Selena Thomas, Jocelyn Navarro, and Arianna Navarro; sister, Nelly Morales; and numerous nieces and nephews. He found immense happiness in spending time with them, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and shared experiences. He was a steadfast presence in their lives, always offering support, guidance, and unwavering love.
He was preceded in passing by his mother, Tomasa Navarro; and brothers, Jose Arroyo and Wilfredo Navarro.
Beyond his family, Jose had a passion for sports. He was a loyal fan and often shared his enthusiasm with friends and family. His easygoing nature and kind heart made him a friend to many, and he will be remembered for his gentle spirit and unwavering generosity.
Jose's life was a testament to the simple pleasures, the importance of family, and the beauty of a life well-lived. He will be remembered not for grand achievements, but for the profound impact he had on the lives of those he loved. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a quiet appreciation for the world around him.
