Jose M. Rivera's Obituary
Jose M. Rivera was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico as the third child to Ezequiel Rivera, Sr. and Lydia E. Rivera. The family moved to New Jersey in 1956. He graduated 8th. Grade from Hamilton Twp. Public Schools, spent two years at Oakcrest High School, then on to Holy Spirit High School from where he graduated in 1972. Jose also briefly attended the University of Dayton. He relocated to Florida in 1975. He was most recently employed by the Southern Packing Machinery Corp. as a machinist for the past 15 years. Jose is survived by his daughter, Michelle Eichenberg; his surrogate son, Samuel Tijerina, Jr.; 6 grandchildren, both parents, his siblings: Ezequiel Rivera, Jr. (Sara), Julio E. Rivera, Lydia H. Rivera, Louis A. Rivera (Wedylia), Lydia E. Rivera, Tony Rivera, Fred Rivera and Yolanda Rivera James (Anthony); 16 nieces and nephews, 22 great nieces and nephews and a host of cousins as well as his friends and co-workers. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
