Joseph Albanese's Obituary
Joseph Albanese, 91, of Cape Coral, passed away Monday, September 10, 2018. He was born September 20, 1926 in Nutley, NJ to Nicholas and Lucy (Maroni) Albanese. He moved to Cape Coral from Oakhurst, NJ in 1973. He proudly served the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of St. Katharine-Drexel Catholic Church, the Italian-American Club, Cape Coral Theater and the American Legion.Mr. Albanese is survived by his wife of 8 years, Vera Parry Albanese; his children: William Albanese (Helene), Dr. Joseph E. Albanese, Mary E. Mell; his step-children: William Parry (Cindy), Frank Parry (Beth) and Jacquelyn Adamiak (Roger); his grandchildren: Shannon Albanese, Melissa Mell and Allison Albanese Bennett; his step-grandchildren: Charise, Frankie, Nicole, Rudi, Scott and Abigayle. Also surviving are 6 great grandchildren and 6 step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Albanese and his step-son, Anthony Parry.A memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 am Friday, September 14, 2018 in the church hall of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 1922 SW 20th Ave., Cape Coral, FL.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907, 239-936-0555.
