Joseph Mario Cistulli's Obituary
Joseph Mario Cistulli of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Page Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. He was born May 3, 1934 in Bari, Italy to the late Pietro and Palma Cistulli. He began his life-long career as a barber at a very early age. He ultimately had a barbershop at Times Square on Broadway in New York City. In addition to his barber skills, Joseph was an avid musician and bandleader. “Mario and his Orchestra” was an 8 piece band playing wedding receptions and special events to the delight of many through the years. His artistic talents also presented themselves; creating many memorable portraits and artworks for family and friends to enjoy. Joseph was also a proud veteran of the Italian Army. His family includes his wife, Elda Cistulli; his three stepchildren, Paula Pellegrino, Madeline Scuotto and Angelo Moscuzza; and his two children, Peter Cistulli and Nicholas Cistulli. Joseph also had five sisters, Cenza, Maria, Tonia, Lina and Rosa and five grandchildren. Memorial services are planned 4PM, Friday, August 19th, 2016 at the Fort Myers Evangelical Free Church 6798 Plantation Pines Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33966.
