Joseph DiNorcia's Obituary
Joseph DiNorcia of Naples and formerly of Fort Myers Florida passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 following some recent health challenges. He was 94 years old.Joseph was born in Fondi, Italy on Sept 21, 1920. He came to the United States through Ellis Island when he was 7 years old. He lived in Bernardsville, NJ until January 1986 when he retired to Ft Myers, Florida where he became an avid golfer. Joseph served in the US Army during World War II in the Pacific and received the following decorations: Philippines Liberation Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal and the Bronze Star. He was a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his daughter, Margaret Buttino (spouse Pasquale Buttino) of Bonita Springs, FL, his son Joseph DiNorcia Jr (spouse Aleta DiNorcia) of Bernardsville, NJ, 3 grandchildren Taryn Carmon (spouse Frank Carmon) of Windsor, CT, Dr Joseph DiNorcia III (spouse Dr Minna Lee) of Los Angeles, CA and Cara DiNorica of Jersey City, NJ and 2 great grandchildren Isabella Carmon and Simon DiNorcia.A Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 11:30 AM on Friday, February 27, 2015 in the chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. A Mass of Christian Burial will be thereafter celebrated by Father Steven Clemente at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2157 Cleveland Avenue, Fort Myers, Florida 33901, (239) 334-2161.
