Joseph Stevens Dozier's Obituary
Joseph Stevens Dozier III of Panama City Beach Florida, died suddenly at his home on Sunday, November 20, 2016. Previously he was from Fort Myers, Florida.Joe was born in Montgomery, Alabama on June 7, 1972 and lived there until he moved to Ft. Myers, Florida with his family in 1989. He graduated from Fort Myers High School and later graduated from Culinary Art Institute in Panama City Florida as a chef with a degree in Restaurant Management. He was employed at the Red Bar and Grill in Sea Grove Beach, Florida. Joe loved life and lived it to the fullest. Joe never met a stranger and gave freely of himself and his worth to help those in need. As a friend, he was always there for you. Joe loved beautiful scenery especially sunsets.Joe was a devoted son, brother, uncle, husband, nephew, cousin and a friend to many. Joe is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Grover C. Skinner and his paternal grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Joseph S. Dozier. Joe is survived by his parents Mr. & Mrs. Joseph S. Dozier Jr., his sister Jeanne Dozier Bartlett (Tyler), his nephew Dozier Bruce Bartlett, and his wife Paulina Dozier. (Ft. Myers FL) Other survivors include aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of friends.Pallbearers will be Mr. Tyler Bartlett, Mr. Brent Brookhyser, Mr. Richard Bourland, Mr. Grady Dozier, Mr. Woody Dozier and Mr. Chris Rakos with Mr. George Mitchell Dozier as honorary pallbearer.The family will receive visitors on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 6:00 – 7:00 PM in the chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL 33907, (239) 936-0555.A memorial service will be held at St. Hillary’s Episcopal Church at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday December 3, 2016 at 5011 McGregor Blvd. Ft.
