Joseph A. Dufour's Obituary
Joseph A. Dufour, 79, of North Fort Myers, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2011. He was born in Fort Kent, Maine to George and Alice Babin (Dufour). ?áJoseph was a devoted Catholic who belonged to many organizations including a life long member of the VFW, KofC and 4th Degree, Combat Infintry, and the DAV.?á He was a carpenter by trade and continued with his passion into retirement making wooden toys and furniture.?áJoseph will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Pauline. He also leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Paul of Cape Coral, Fl, Adrienne Percy of Jackcon, NJ; Betty Jane (Ronald) Reisinger of Stone Mountain, GA, Albert of Fort Myers, Fl and Edward of Huntsville, AL. Joseph is preceded in death by his son, David and many brothers and sisters. Of his siblings, he leaves behind his brother Bertrand (Germaine) Dufour and sister-in-law Ida Bilodeau. He also leaves behind his beautiful grandchildren Jacinda (Brian) Stevens, Bucky Novak, John Dufour, Zachery, Cody and Ashlei Dufour, and Rachelle and Nicole Reisinger; Great-grandson Clay Stevens, and many nieces and nephews.A visitation is scheduled for Mr. Dufour on Monday, August 8, 2011, from 4-8pm at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Cape Coral at 11:30am. The burial will take place immediately following at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to The American Heart Association.
