Joseph J. Duran , 93, passed away May 23, 2012.?áHe was born February 23, 1919 in Mexico to the late Porfirio and Petra (Ojeda) Duran.?áIn addition to his parents, Joseph is preceded in death by his brother Carlos; sisters, Bea, Esther and Mary; and a great-grandson Joshua. Joseph and his wife started vacationing in Fort Myers back in the 70?ÇÖs and then moved here permanently in the early 90?ÇÖs.?áHe was a Christian and belonged to the Shriners, Fraternal Order of Police and was a Golden Glove Boxer in his teens.?áHe enjoyed fishing, traveling and camping. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 70 years, Jeanne; sons, Joseph II and his wife Paula from Grayling, Michigan and Ricardo and his wife Sally of White Lake, Michigan; grandchildren, Tammy,?á John, Michael, Jeff, Ricky and Rebecca; great-grandchildren, Shaleen, Johnny, Katlyn, Serina, Ricky, Lilly and Jackson.
