Joseph F Giardina's Obituary
Joseph F. Giardina, age 84, of Fort Myers, Florida and formerly of Washington, DC passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Saturday, January 28, 2023. He was born September 7, 1938 to Frank and Margaret Giardina. When he was teenager, he loved to go to the movies, watch baseball and football games with his father and his younger brother Lou. In January of 1964, he meant the girl of his dreams and married her six months later. She was 19 and he was 25. They went on their honeymoon to Clearwater Beach and that became a vacation for his family every year. He loved swimming, fishing and cruising twice a year and most of all he loved hanging out with his granddaughters! He was a veteran of The United States Army and was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Margaret Giardina. He was survived by spouse Yolanda Giardina and by his 2 children Frank Giardina and Lori Oliver, granddaughters Cheyenne Morgan (Bradley) and Autumn Buckler (Dave) and brother Dock Giardina.
A Memorial Service for Joe will be celebrated by Deacon Jim Tesoriero at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 4, 2023 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Friends are welcome to gather for an hour preceding this ceremony beginning at 1:00 PM also inside the funeral home chapel. At the conclusion of these services Funeral Military Honors for Joe will be provided by the United States Army.
