Joseph Arthur Halek's Obituary
Joseph Arthur Halek of Fort Myers Beach, Florida passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 following some recent health challenges. He was 79 years old.Joe was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 3, 1940 and was a veteran of the United States Army. He later worked in the Chicago area for many years as an Elevator Installer and Repair Technician. He was married to and leaves to cherish his loving memory his devoted wife Neva Lou (Parnell) Halek.A Memorial Service for Joseph will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 21, 2019 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. A Color Guard for the United States Army will also be in attendance to render Honors in commemoration of Joseph’s military service. Guests are welcome to arrive at the funeral home to pay respects to the family for up to an hour prior to the start of the service, beginning at 10:00 AM also inside the funeral home chapel. A Memorial Reception and time of fellowship is being planned at a different location immediately following the services taking place at the funeral home.
