Joseph L. Hatfield's Obituary
Joseph L. Hatfield, 81, of Fort Myers, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2020. He was born February 5, 1939 in Harrodsburg, IN to Cloudy K. and Laura Ruth (Whitaker) Hatfield. He moved to Fort Myers from Bloomington, IN in 1998. He proudly served the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, American Legion and the Veterans Club of America.
Mr. Hatfield is survived by his step-daughters: Linda Johnson (fiance, Robert McCarrick) of Fort Myers and Cynthia Adams (Joe) of Albertville, AL; his siblings: Connie Vantresse (David), Mary Lou Trisler (John), Nancy Smith (Dennis) and Clarissa Hawk (Charles); his grandchildren: David Johnson, Joe Adams and Jana Cox and his great grandchildren: Diego, Jade, Julie, Jordan, James, Joey and Emma. He was preceded in death by wife, Cemile Hatfield in 2004 as well as his siblings: Martha Calabrese (Ralph), Lewis Hatfield (Saundra), Karen Sue Hearth (Bobby) and Becky Meadows (Paul).
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 23, 2020 in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907, 239-936-0555. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Entombment will follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
