Joseph E. Hermann, 91, passed away on August 5, 2025, in Fort Myers, Florida.
Born on January 8, 1934, Joseph led a life marked by service, dedication, and a deep love for family. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years before embarking on a second career as a math teacher, where he spent another two decades sharing his knowledge and shaping young minds.
Joe was known for his kind and generous spirit, his devotion to family, and a quirky sense of humor that brought smiles to those around him. He had a passion for traveling and took great joy in exploring his family's genealogy interests that reflected both his curiosity about the world and his deep appreciation for heritage.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Virginia Hermann; daughter, Susan Lessig; son, Joseph Hermann (and their spouses); four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Dana Richardson.
His legacy lives on through the generations of family he cherished so deeply. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
