Joseph H. Irwin, “Joe” of Fort Myers, FL passed peacefully on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. Joe was born on March 12, 1952, to Joseph and Josephine (Dombrowski) Irwin in Chicago, Illinois.
Joe has called Florida his home since 2004, throughout his life he has enjoyed building many meaningful relationships through family, friends, the business industry, many of his clubs such as the VFW, Legion, Veterans Club of America, Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, and USEPPA Island Club. He was a successful business owner of National Lining Systems Inc. and when he wasn't working, he was having fun. He enjoyed dancing, fishing, and traveling. He loved visiting Costa Rica. Joe has connected with many who were touched by his presence in their life.
Joe is preceded in passing by his parents and brother Frank Taleski.
Joe leaves his loving memory with his survivors: son Joseph Irwin Jr., of Elgin, IL, daughters Jennifer (Juan Garcia) Irwin, of Fort Myers, Bethanie Irwin of Elgin, IL, siblings Joann Stadler of IL, John (Debbie) Irwin of TX, Josephine (Mike) Taylor of IL, Jim (Kelly Pence) Irwin of IL, Jerry (Melanie Monga) Irwin of IL, and Jeff (Kim) Irwin of IL, grandchildren Amanda, Robbie, Riley, and Iain, great- grandchildren Anthony, Austin, and Alaynah. Aunts, uncles, cousins, and an abundance of nieces and nephews.
Joe was a great father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, & friend. He was a generous man. Honest and true to his words. He worked hard and played hard his entire life. Joe will truly be missed by all who knew him and remain in our hearts forever.
Joseph's family entrusted Fort Myers Memorial Gardens with handling his final arrangements. There will be a visitation in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, November 9th at 9AM, following at 10AM will be a chapel service. Immediately following the service, we will then lay Joseph to rest in Fort Myers Memorial Garden's Cemetery.
