Joseph Kenneth Miklic's Obituary
Joseph Kenneth Miklic of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully at Joanne’s House in Bonita Springs surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, February 2, 2017 following some recent health challenges. He was 92 years old.Joseph was born on March 29, 1924 in Monongahela, Pennsylvania, the proud son of Margaret (Remen) and Joseph Bernard Miklic. He was raised in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and a World War II Veteran of the United States Army who participated in combat operations in the European campaign. After his military service was complete, Joseph returned to Cuyahoga Falls and was employed by Reuther Mold & Manufacturing Company for 32 years before retiring as Vice President of Manufacturing. He was happy to relocate to Fort Myers and enjoy his well-earned retirement.He is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years Mary Anne (Lewandowski) Miklic; his son, Gary (Nancy) Miklic and daughter, Gail Miklic of Fort Myers and his granddaughter, Amy Fullwiler (Mark) of Portland, Oregon. Joseph also leaves behind his grandson, Andy; great-granddaughter Emily Fullwiler along with many other extended family members and many others who were proud to call him a friend. He will be greatly missed by all who were lucky to know him.A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be conducted for Joseph at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Field of Honor located inside Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555.
