Joseph Henry Miller's Obituary
Joseph Henry Miller, 90, of Slater Pines Road, North Fort Myers, Florida, lost his battle with cancer and passed away at his home on Friday, September 11th, 2015. “Joe” Miller was born in Everett, Pennsylvania on February 9th, 1925 the proud son of George Henry and Elsie (Jay) Miller. He married Hazel P. (Price) Miller and the couple were joined in marriage for 68 beautiful years.He served in the United States Army in 1941, for the recovery of Pearl Harbor and was honorably discharged after World War II. Joseph was a truck driver in Pennsylvania then moved to Florida in 1971, where he owned and managed rentals, but he was most happy running heavy equipment. He was a member of First Baptist Church of North Fort Myers, Florida.In addition to his wife, he is survived by his 4 children: James A. Miller and his wife Theresa Miller; Edward W. Miller and his wife Debra C. Miller; Linda D. (Miller) Oliver and her husband Donald C. Oliver; Paula J. (Miller) Hardwick; and also survived by 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.A Memorial Service for Joseph will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 by Pastor Gavin Croft at the North Fort Myers First Baptist Church, 75 Evergreen Rd, Fort Myers, FL 33903, (239) 995-2150. Friends will be received for Visitation at the church one hour prior to the ceremony beginning at 12 Noon.
