Joseph Peter Zwitter's Obituary
Joseph P. Zwitter,73, of North Fort Myers passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020. He was born November 2, 1946 in Milwaukee, WI to Jack and Mary (Brunner) Zwitter.
Joseph, a devout Roman Catholic family man graduated from Holy Ghost Grade and Pulaski High Schools, and attended two years at St. Nazianz Prep school. He would go on to serve in the United States Navy Reserves where he received an Honorable discharge. Professionally, Joseph worked in warehousing at Graingers, Hansen Stg. Roundy’s and Super Value. He was able to work his way up to Director of Distribution; and retired as Distribution Systems Manager. In his spare time, He enjoyed playing bass guitar & trumpet in various rock bands in the Milwaukee, WI area; two of which are most memorable Atilla & the Huns, and Variety. Joseph also bowled in various leagues, played on the St. Romans men’s dartball team with family, and sang in St. Romans’ choir for over 20 years and in St.Therese’s choir for about 3 years.Joseph Loved to be the "life of the party"; he was always cracking jokes, being a smart aleck,and making everyone laugh and have fun. However, he loved being a son, dad, grandpa, husband, brother, and friend most. That was my Joey.
He is survived by loving wife, Mary Lu(Brauer); son, David Zwitter (DeeDee); daughters, Michele Schubert, and Kristine Wolf (Tom); sister, Marge Wolf (Al); brother, James Zwitter (Marilynn), grandchildren, Melanie, Kiryn (Ken), Timothy, Corey, Kasey, Jachob, Chelsea, and Chloe;great-grand child, Cecelia; as well as a host of aunts,uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by parents, Jack R. Zwitter and Mary (Brunner) Zwitter.

A Memorial Mass in memory of Joseph P. Zwitter will be held 11:00am Thursday, August 27, 2020 at St. Therese Catholic Church; 20115 N. Tamiami Trail, North Fort Myers.
