Joyce Ann Foor's Obituary
Joyce Ann Foor passed away peacefully on July 16th, after a brief illness in Ft Myers, FL where she had lived for the last 34 years. Her life partner and best friend Hank Dunster was at her side. She was born in Canton, Ohio on July 3, 1941 and was a graduate from Minerva High School in 1959. Joyce was a long-time employee of General Color in Minerva, Ohio, and then later at Crown Plaza in Fort Myers, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Anna Madak, as well as her sisters, Jean Calhoun, Judy Roach and twin sister JoAnn Bennett. Her surviving siblings are Joe (Anna) Madak from Minerva, Janet (Jim) Edwards of East Canton and brother-in-law Bruce Bennett of East Rochester. Joyce had two sons, Richard (LaVonne) Hays of Hartville and Randy (Carrie) Hays of Minerva. She had five grandchildren (Ross, McKenzie, Christin, Jessica and Miranda), five great-grandchildren (Amelia, Evelyn, Madyson, Matthew, Kayleigh) and one great-great-grandson (Rugar) along with many nieces and nephews.
Joyce was an active and devoted member of Peace Lutheran Church, and greatly enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She will always be fondly remembered for her passion to take care of others. Joyce and Hank enjoyed traveling the world, and always remembered to pick up “a little something” for others. Her most recent adventure included a 10-day vacation in Ohio, where she was able to celebrate her 80th birthday surrounded by friends and family.
