Joyce Y. Levy died April 23, 2012.?áJoyce was born May 12, 1920 in Brooklyn, New York, to Rose Freedman and Morris Freedman.She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Sol Freedman and her beloved husband Albert Levy. She is survived by her loving family including her son, Jerry Lawton and his wife Nancy, daughter Vicki Zellner and her husband Dr. Stephen Zellner; grandchildren Jill Lawton, Robert Lawton, Dr. Debbie Bauman and husband Andrew; Karen Rogow and husband Alex; Julie Cristal and husband Jason; great grandchildren Sam Lesser, Jacob and Alon Rogow; Evan and Anna Rose Baumann; Rebecca and Adin Cristal. Joyce moved to Florida with her family in 1957 and has resided in Fort Myers since 1985.?áShe was active in charitable endeavors including visiting the elderly and infirm at Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center.?áJoyce and her husband Albert resided in Cypress Cove from 2004 where Albert died in 2008 and Joyce remained until her recent illness and death on April 23, 2012. Services will be held at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Blvd. on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 2PM. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Senior Behavioral Center at Lee Memorial Hospital and the staff at the Hope Hospice House at Health Park Circle, Fort Myers for taking care of Joyce and allowing her to die with dignity.?á The family requests that charitable contributions be made to the Hope Hospice House in lieu of flowers to the family.
