Juan N Sanchez's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father/grandfather Juan N. Sanchez, who passed away at the age of 95 on Friday, March 3rd 2023.
Juan was born on September 10,1927 in Luquillo, Puerto Rico to Jesus Sanchez and Petronila Garcias. He was the second youngest of 5 siblings, with surviving sibling Carmen Sanchez. In 1950, Juan enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Korean War. During his service, he demonstrated bravery and dedication to his country, earning several awards and commendations for his service. After being honorably discharged, Juan returned home and settled in Lehigh Acres. In 1953, Juan met the love of his life, Hilda, in and they were married for 61 years until her passing in 2014. Together, they had 3 children, Juan Sanchez, Jesus A. Sanchez and Hernando Sanchez. Juan was a devoted husband and father, always putting his family's needs before his own. In his free time, Juan enjoyed music, traveling and going to church. He was also an active member of Mision Evangelica De Jesucristo Church. Juan will be remembered for his kind and generous spirit, his unwavering love for his family, and his service to his country. He will be deeply missed by his, 5 grandchildren, Stephanie, Hernando, Jeliza, Jeseida and Christian his beloved 8 great-grandchildren and all who knew him. Rest in peace.
A Visitation for Juan will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, March 10, 2023 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. A Funeral Service will be celebrated for Juan immediately thereafter at 1:00 PM also inside the funeral home chapel. At the conclusion of these ceremonies, family and friends will recess to adjacent Memorial Gardens Cemetery where Juan will receive Military Funeral Honors from the United States Army in recognition of his service in defense of our nation. Juan will thereafter be laid to rest alongside his beloved wife Hilda at the Mausoleum located inside the Garden of Peace.
