Juanita J Berthold's Obituary
Juanita J. Berthold, a beloved resident of Fort Myers, FL, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 5, 2024. She was born on October 29, 1933, in Alderson, West Virginia, to the late Robert and Gladys (Surgeon) Moody.
Juanita’s love for gardening was evident to all who knew her. She could often be found on her front porch, greeting neighbors as they passed by. Her cheerful demeanor and zest for life endeared her to everyone she met. In her earlier years, she enjoyed cooking and entertaining, creating warm memories for family and friends.
Juanita was renowned as the flea market’s best negotiator—a savvy shopper who always found the best bargains. She shared 47 wonderful years of marriage with her late husband, Howard M. Berthold, until his passing in August 2000.
Juanita is survived by her two loving children, Candice Berthold and Howard J. Berthold (wife, Susan); one sister, Shirley Lanoue; six grandchildren, Adam Kubach (wife, Jen), Aaron Kubach, Abbee (Kubach) Berzin (husband, Nick), Caitlyn McGinnis (husband, Storm), Blake Berthold and Justin Berthold; four great grandchildren, Jasmine Kubach, Evie Kubach, Camille Berzin and Joseph Berzin; as well as many nieces, nephews and countless friends across the country.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved her. Juanita will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and the community she brightened with her presence.
