Juanita Hollister's Obituary
Juanita Hollister, 75, a cherished resident of Aiken, SC for the past two years and formerly a longtime resident of Fort Myers, FL, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025, in Aiken, SC.
Juanita was a woman of remarkable warmth and boundless generosity. Known for her love of sewing and her unwavering affection for all animals, she brought joy and comfort to many through her passions. Her career was dedicated to managing housekeeping at a resort, where she worked diligently and with pride for the majority of her life.
One of the highlights of Juanita's teenage years was being picked out of a crowd to join Elvis Presley on stage for a dance—a memory she cherished and often shared with a twinkle in her eye.She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hollister; as well as two brothers and a sister.
Juanita is survived by her three siblings, Arcadia Garcia, Maria Gonzales and Fred Avila; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews extended family members and friends.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Friday, January 24, 2025 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM, January 25, 2025 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in the Serenity Garden of Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Juanita's legacy of kindness, love, and the joy she spread will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her life's journey was a testament to the power of compassion and the beauty of simple pleasures.
