Judith Gage's Obituary
Judith Gage (Kinsky), 81, of North Fort Myers, FL, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026. Born in Rochester, NY, she grew up in a lively family of eleven children. This upbringing instilled in her a vibrant social spirit and a deep-rooted love for community that she carried throughout her life. Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Richard Gage, parents Marion & Edwin Kinsky, brothers Dick, John, Bob & Ted, and sister MaryAnn Fischer. Together, Judy and Rich built a life defined by partnership, laughter, and an open door to friends and neighbors. Judy was a social butterfly who thrived on connection and made everyone feel like family. Beyond her social nature, she was a surprisingly good athlete, naturally skilled at golf, bowling, and tennis. She also possessed a sharp mind for books, games, and puzzles, and deeply enjoyed completing the daily crossword or Wordle puzzles and playing Words With Friends with those she loved.
She is survived by her children: Jeff & Sabina Gage of Penfield, NY, Peter & Nanci Gage of Charlotte, NC, Chris and Christy Gage of Boston, MA, and Melissa & Scott Johnson of Raleigh, NC. She was the proud grandmother of Jessica Quinn, Amanda, Adam, Alyssa, Bradley, Shea, Sydney, and MacKenzie, and the great-grandmother of Lincoln, Lennon & Elvie. She also leaves behind brothers Dave, Steve & Mike, sisters Joan Ryan & Paula Staiger, and many loving family members and friends who will forever treasure her legacy.
A service to celebrate Judith’s life will be held but that date & time has not been determined yet.
