Julio "Rico" Villanueva Jr's Obituary
Julio “Rico” Villanueva Jr.
July 6, 1956 - August 31, 2021
Rico passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 which was his and Valerie’s 36th wedding anniversary. He was 65 years old. Rico was loved by many but none more than by his wife, Valerie; his children, Julio and Ana; two grandchildren, Daniyela and Mateo; and his mother, Conchi.
Rico retired from the Army in 1997 at the rank of MSG. He worked for several years in government contracting before becoming a pharmacy technician. He retired in 2018.
Rico was so funny and made everyone laugh. He was a family man. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and being a “beach bum.” He lit up a room anywhere he went with his big smile and crazy loud laugh. There is a hole in our hearts that can never be filled. We will love and miss him forever.
A Memorial service at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 10:30AM. All are welcome. Please come celebrate Rico with us.
