June Wright Mears' Obituary
June Wright Mears of Fort Myers and formerly of Parrish, Florida went to be with the Lord at 3:45 PM on Tuesday, January 18, 2021. She passed at Health Park Medical Center with her loving family by her side following some recent health challenges and was 88 years old.
She was born Effie June Wright in Hope, Kansas on September, 4, 1933, the beautiful daughter to Effie C. (Kellogg) and Frank B. Wright. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her sons Paul (Teri) Jenkins, Daniel (Patricia) Jenkins and her daughter Sara (Randall) Hopkins, as well as, 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. June also leaves behind a large extended family and many others who were proud to know her and call her a friend. She will be warmly remembered and greatly missed. Sadly, June was preceded in death by her parents, husband Michael C. Mears, son Ardell Mears and daughter Michellen Mears as well as one granddaughter.
A Funeral Service for June will be celebrated by the Right Reverend Dr. Paul DeJong at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Friends are welcome to gather and offer condolences to the family for an hour preceding this ceremony beginning at 12:00 Noon also inside the funeral home chapel. At the conclusion of these services, family and friends will recess to adjacent Memorial Gardens Cemetery where June will be laid to rest inside the Mausoluem located inside the Garden of Serenity.
