It is only with the fondest of memories that I recall my times with Aunt Kathy. She was always so positive, encouraging and sweet. She will be sorely missed by me, and my thoughts and prayers go out to her family and Uncle Dave. There is a scripture that I would like to share that has always offered me such peace in times like this, and I trust will do the same for you, Uncle Dave. "For we know that if our earthy house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we grown, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven……Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee." 2 Corinthians 5:1-5. "Mercy unto you, and peace, and love be multiplied." Jude 1:2 . Your loving, niece, Kathy (Stover)Childs
Kathy was one of the finest ladies I have ever known. Her mild manner and steady hand has guided many thru the years. The list is long and she did till the day she passed. Tears come to my eyes at the thought of her not being here. I hope there is some big sales in heaven as she was the best shopper.
Aunt Kathy was so special to us. She and Uncle Dave are dear to our hearts. She had such a sweet countenance and loved her family much! May god be with you, Uncle Dave and family. God has been good to have put such a special woman in your lives. We love you.
My grandma was the most amazing, patient, and loving woman. She held our family together, always thinking of how she could help others. Every holiday, everyone would get a card, sometimes without reason at all, or just to say we were loved, or she was proud. No small talent or skill was small in her eyes. She always helped us believe in ourselves, steering us in the right direction. She hardly ever raised her voice or spoke a stern word, but when she did, you could bet it was needed. My grandma taught me things about life, personal responsibility, and owning your emotions and decisions, and without her wisdom in my weakest moments, I wouldn't be nearly as grounded and driven as I am today. I am so very sad she's not with me in person, but so happy she is with the lord, looking over me. I love you Grandma.
I haven't gotten to see Aunt Kathy in awhile, but my memories of her will always be fond ones….One of my strongest memories are of visiting Aunt Kathy and Uncle Dave around Christmas time in Florida. I was six years old. They didn't have to, but because my brother and i were so young they had made it a special point to get us each a small Christmas gift. I received a book titled Danny the Duck….For some reason I thought this book was the greatest thing that I had ever heard. I cherished it, and to this day i read it at least once a month to my sons. The inscription is simply: 1989 from:Aunt Kathy and Uncle Dave, but I always remembered that Christmas with them and their generosity…Thank you- love you guys, and my prayers are with you. Elizabeth Spencer (Bill and Elsie's grand-daughter)
"I thank my God upon every remembrance of you" Philllipians 1:4, Roxanne and I have such fond memories of Aunt Kathalene, the first time we went to Florida she took us to the beach, we remember Christmas dinners and many other special times together, she will be missed.
