Katherine E. Jack's Obituary
Katherine E. Jack, 90, a Cape Coral, FL resident since 1978, formerly of Plainfield, IL passed away peacefully Monday, January 7, 2019 in Cape Coral, FL. She was born September 19, 1928 in Baylis, IL to Lawrence and Emily Curry, now deceased.After graduating high school, Katherine married John in November 1946. They were blessed with a son and a daughter. Family was always very important to her. She enjoyed activities with her family and her neighbors in Plainfield, Illinois. Katherine was employed as an accountant/bookkeeper until her retirement in 1978 when she and John moved to Pine Island Florida. After moving to Florida, she and John enjoyed fishing and cruises. Hurricane Charlie did significant damage to their house, so after rebuilding they sold it and moved to Gulf Coast Villages in Cape Coral. More recently she has spent time reading and playing bingo.She was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, brothers William and George, and sister Patricia. Katherine is survived by her two children, Larry Jack (Bonnie) of Wichita, KS and Linda Russo (Tony) of Ft. Myers, FL; one brother, Robert Curry (Shirley) of Eustis, FL; six grandchildren, Diana Lange, David Jack (Lisa), Allyson Russo (Chris Muckey), Alanna Russo, Chris Cheng (Phuong) and Jason Cheng (Jennifer);The visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL 33907. The two-hour visitation will be followed by a 3:00 memorial service officiated by Pastor Bob Inkenbrandt. All friends and family are invited to stay for the service.The family would like to take the time to thank the staff at Palm View Assisted Living at Gulf Coast Village and Hope Hospice for the care they provided.
