Katherine "Katie Ray" Ray-Taylor
March 21, 1964 – June 9, 2025
Katie, 61, of Estero, passed away Monday, June 9th 2025.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Katherine Ray-Taylor, lovingly known as Katie Ray. A devoted mom, daughter, friend, and businesswoman, Katie brought warmth and dedication to everything she touched.
For most of her life, Katie was career driven and took pride in her work serving the SWFL area. She built a legacy of hard work, dedication and integrity. Leaving a lasting impression on her customers and colleagues.
Beyond her work, Katie embraced the beauty of life in every way. She found joy under the sun, whether with her green thumb, collecting cherished magnets, or her favorite places; the beach and pool to tan. Katie loved cheering on the Chicago Cubs and the Florida wildlife. Walt Disney World was one of her many happy places to vacation with her daughters, as she could see her favorite characters Stitch and Marry Poppins.
Katie is survived by her three children: Michael Ray, Michaela Taylor and Hayley Taylor.
Katie’s love for Floridas nature continues through her memory, and in lieu of flowers to the family, donations may be made in her memory to Ding Darling Wildlife Society by going to https://dingdarlingsociety.org/annual-membership-donation or CROW on Sanibel by going to: Support CROW – Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife. Both organizations were close to her heart.
Though she is no longer with us, Katie’s spirit and unwavering devotion live on in the lives she touched. She was a bright light, and a force. She will be dearly missed.
