Katherine "Jane" Rhodes' Obituary
Katherine “Jane” Rhodes, 78, of Fort Myers, Florida, went to be with the Lord on October 20, 2013. She was born January 2, 1935 in Oneco, Florida to the late Earl and Dorothy Bartlow. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Charles M. Rhodes.She retired from J. Colin English Elementary School after 21 years and was a member of Broadway Community Church. Jane loved to bowl, dance, play cards, work puzzles and spend time with her family.Left to cherish her memory are her children, Carrie Smith and her companion Jeff McConnell; Chuck Rhodes and his wife Kim; Wayne Rhodes and his wife Michelle; and Lee Rhodes and his wife Cindy; 7 grandchildren, Crystal and her husband Mike; Dan and his wife Tara; Ashley and her husband Jose; Kelli and her fiance Larry; Curtis; Jessica and her husband James; and Randy; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kaylie, Ireland, Logan, Braden, Miranda and Carter; sister, Betty Rhodes and close cousin, Goldie Nave and many family and friends.There will be a visitation on Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, Florida 33907. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM followed by entombment in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Broadway Community Church, 3309 Broadway, Fort Myers, FL 33901.
