Kathleen Elizabeth Walter's Obituary
Kathleen Elizabeth Walter, 68, passed away July 11, 2013. She was born August 3, 1944 in Rockville Center, New York to the late Curtis Frank and Elizabeth Marguerite (Petrey) Marshall. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Walter; sister, Cecelia Sarno; and step-daughter, Bonnie Anderson.She came to Lee County in 1986 from Olean New York. She was a Catholic and a member of The Flames, The Mosquitos (which was a Korean Conflict veteran army/air force group), the bowling league of North Fort Myers and St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Cape Coral. Besides bowling, she volunteered much of her time in kindergarten classes in Fort Myers.Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Frank G. Fischer and his wife Laura of Santa Clarita, California; Sean B. Fischer of Olean, New York; daughter, Kasey Tripodi also Olean, New York; step-children, Judith Walter of Ashville, North Carolina; Gary Walter and his wife Pat of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania; Joan Dutill of Columbia, Missouri and Patti Edgar of Reston, Virginia; siblings, Marianne Davis of North Fort Myers; Curtis F. Marshall and his wife Karen of Huntersville, North Carolina; and Janet Sarno and her husband Dominic of East Islip, New York; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Amanda, Adam, Bianca, Mary, Rich, Logan and Geena; and one great-grandson, Jerron.Funeral mass will be held at St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church in Cape Coral on August 10th at 10:00AM with an interment to follow at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diocese of Venice Catholic Faith Appeal in honor of Kathleen Walter, 1000 Pembrook Road, Venice, Florida 34285.
