Kathryn (Kay) Massing, 93, left her earthly life to be in heaven with her husband of 73 years, George, who preceded her in death December, 2011.?áTheir son, Monte, preceded them in death in 1989.She was born and raised on a farm near RidgeFarm, IL., and later nurtured her family in Crystal Lakes, OH.?áShe and George retired to Naples, Fl. in 1973 after careers in civil service at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH.?áFor many years, she was the librarian at the Air Force JAG Corps Law Library at WPAFB, serving over 40 military attorneys.?áShe was also an accomplished artist. Kay and George moved to North Fort Myers in 1983 to be closer to family and became active with the Hibiscus and Bromeliad Societies, genealogy and extensive traveling. She is survived by son, Larry, daughter-in-law Judy, grandchildren Shane (Donita), Seth (Olivia), Joshua (Angela), Devon, and Jennifer (Ivan).?áShe loved her great grandchildren Myka, Marc, and Kirra. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, Dec. 13, 5:30 PM (viewing beginning at 4:30) at First United Methodist Church, 2406 First St., Fort Myers, FL 33901. Arrangements under the supervision of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907. (239)936-0555.
