Kay Williams' Obituary
Elizabeth Kay Williams, better know simply as Kay to her family and friends, 81 of North Fort Myers, Florida passed away at 5:20 a.m. on March 31, 2023.
Kay was born in 1941 to Mack and Georgia Jones in Fort Myers, FL. She graduated from Fort Myers High School.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Melvin Williams, son Tracy Williams (Denyse), daughters Heidi Jinkins (Sam) and Libby Wilson (Chad) & her beloved grandchildren Ashley (Josh), Ryan, Benjamin and Joshua.
Surviving relatives also include sisters Sara Morrison (Jack) and Amy Jones-Baskaran (Angelo) along with a number of loved nieces and nephews, a great many extended family members and many others who were proud to call her a friend. Kay will be warmly remembered and fondly missed by everybody she knew.
Kay worked many years for her parents’ business, helped manage her husband’s construction business, and retired from Lee County Electric Cooperative.
Kay was a member of Faith Assembly in North Fort Myers and would appreciate that any gifts in her memory be made to support her place of worship. Donations in Kay's name can be forwarded to the church at 7101 Bayshore Road, North Fort Myers, FL 33917, (239) 543-2700.
Kay was an advocate for children her whole life. She will be remembered by family and friends as always having an open heart and open home.
A Visitation for Kay will take place from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Immediately thereafter at 1:00 PM a Funeral Service for Kay will be celebrated by Pastor Steve Anderson of Faith Assembly Church in North Fort Myers also inside the Funeral Home Chapel. At the conclusion of this ceremony, friends and family will recess to adjacent Memorial Gardens Cemetery where Kay will be laid to rest in the Devotion Garden Section.
