Keith Melvin Marquiss' Obituary
Keith Melvin Marquiss of Cape Coral, Florida passed away suddenly following some chronic health challenges on Wednesday, July 6, 2016. He was 72 years old.Mr. Marquiss was born on February 21, 1944 in Montpelier, Indiana, the proud son of Myrtle Ellen (Brennman) and Fort O. Marquiss. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and spent his working life in the steel fabrication industry as a welder and later as a foreman. He was a proud member of Amvets Post 65 in North Fort Myers, Florida, the Invest in America’s Veterans Foundation and was a volunteer at the Southwest Florida Military Museum and Library.Keith leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Karen (Regnier) Marquiss; sons Charles C. Marquiss and Timothy A. Marquiss; daughter Sherri Campbell (Brian); step-daughter Debra Arnold (Rodney); granddaughters Thelma Jo-Ann Marquiss, Gina Salvati, Teresa Salvati-Reed and Amanda Arnold Ham; grandsons Joshua Arnold (Dena), Roman Arnold and Jacob Campbell; great-granddaughters Gwendolyn Ham, Phoebe Arnold and Savannah Arnold and his brother Jimmie Marquiss (Kathy). He also leaves behind a number of extended family members and countless friends who will greatly miss the pleasure of his company.A Memorial Service for Keith will be celebrated at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 9, 2016 in the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Friends will be received for two hours prior to the service beginning at 12:00 Noon also in the funeral home chapel.Additional services for Keith will occur in Indiana. A Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 PM on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the C.M. Sloan and Sons Funeral Home, 1327 North Wells Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46808, (260) 422-4232. A Graveside Service and Interment will take place the following day, Friday, July 15, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery, east side of S County Road 450 E (about 0.6 miles north of its intersection with W.
