Keith Van Waus' Obituary
Keith Van Waus, age 70, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. A longtime resident of Fort Myers and Cape Coral, Keith was a devoted husband, proud father and grandfather, and a man known for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and quiet love of nature.
Raised in Fort Myers, Keith spent his entire life in the community he loved. Over the years, he built a life rooted in hard work, family, and simple joys. For 50 wonderful years, he shared his life with his beloved wife, Heidi. Together, they raised two children—Lisa and Mark—who carry forward his values and spirit. Keith was also the proud grandfather of five granddaughters, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
Keith worked hard throughout his life, never one to shy away from a challenge. Whether on the job or helping a neighbor, he believed in doing things the right way and giving his best effort. In his free time, he found peace in fishing—his favorite pastime—spending countless hours on the water enjoying the stillness and beauty of nature.
He will be remembered as a steady, humble presence with a deep love for his family and community. Keith’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely.
He is survived by his wife, Heidi; daughter Lisa (Jason); son Mark (Kristie); granddaughters Aurelia, Gia, Carina, Lyla, and Alyssa; siblings Vicky, Kathryn, Jeanne, and Steve; and his brother-in-law George (Angela). He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Loretta Van Waus, and brothers Kenneth and John Van Waus.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
