Kelly Jones' Obituary
Kelly Jones of Cape Coral, Florida passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Sunday, March 26, 2017 following some recent health challenges. He was 56 years old.Kelly was born on January 20, 1961 in Elmhurst, Illinois, the proud son of Esther (Knapp) and Donald Jones. As a primary career, he was the owner and manager of a steel manufacturing plant in DeKalb, Illinois. He also did some work in the real estate sector and later on was the proprietor of Tropical Hardware on Cleveland Avenue in Fort Myers. Kelly enjoyed and was successful at any job he decided to undertake.Kelly leaves to cherish his memory his father Donald; his devoted wife Diana (Franco) Jones; his loving children David (Lori) and Ken (Nicole) Wright; his cherished siblings David Jones, Jeff Jones and Debbie Knepper and his beloved grandchildren Devon, Jared, Austin, Dylan and Kylie Wright. He also leaves behind many extended family members, a number of good friends and many more people who were fortunate to know Kelly on his life’s journey. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his mother Esther and his sister Marilyn Demetros.A visitation for Kelly will take place from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 30, 2017 inside the chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Thereafter, Kelly will travel to his final resting place in Illinois. A visitation will take place on Friday, April 7, 2017 4pm – 8pm at Brust Funeral Home, 135 South Main Street, Lombard, Illinois, (630) 629-0094. An additional time of visiting will take place the following day, Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 9:30am – 10:30am followed by Funeral Ceremonies beginning at 10:30am at Lombard Bible Church, 111 South Park Avenue, Lombard, Illinois 60148, (630) 629-0307.
