Kelvin Figueroa Torruella's Obituary
Kelvin Figueroa Torruella, a beloved resident of Fort Myers, Florida, since 1993, and formerly of Puerto Rico, passed away on May 15, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 42 years old.
Kelvin was a man who embraced life with zest and humor. His love for family was unwavering, and he dedicated himself to their well-being. Whether it was planning family trips or simply sharing laughter around the dinner table, Kelvin’s presence brightened every moment.
His sense of humor was infectious, and he had a way of turning ordinary conversations into memorable anecdotes. Kelvin’s outspoken nature endeared him to friends and family alike. He believed in speaking his mind, and his candidness was refreshing.
In his final days, Kelvin faced his illness with remarkable courage. His unwavering spirit inspired those around him, and his legacy will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.
Kelvin Figueroa Torruella is survived by his devoted wife of 14 years, Chelsea Figueroa; three adored children, Isaiah “Ziggy, Isabella “Bella” and Isaiah “Zay”; his mom, Hilda Martinez; three sisters, Natalie Lopez (Carlos Rodriguez), Natasha Rodriguez (Edwin) and Michaelle Figueroa; his parents, Francisco and Candida Figueroa; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907. They will also received friends for a time of visitation on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens before the Graveside Service at 12:30 PM at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 1380 Forrest Nelson Boulevard, Port Charlotte, FL where he will be laid to rest next to his family.
