Kenneth E. Simmons Jr's Obituary
Kenneth E. Simmons, Jr., 71, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 1980, formerly of Virginia Beach, FL passed away suddenly Friday, October 9, 2020 in Cape Coral, FL. He was born November 13, 1948 in Humansville, MO to Kenneth and Virgie “Flo” Simmons.
Kenneth attended Harrisonville High School in Harrisonville, Missouri and enlisted in the Navy in 1966. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norlina in 2015; father, Kenneth Simmons, Sr; mother, Flo Young and stepfather, Charles Young.
He is survived by his two loving children, Joseph Simmons (Evgeniya) of Cape Coral, FL and Lori Holland (Douglas) of Courtland, OH; two sisters, Janice (Garry) Smart of Vienna, Missouri and Pat Mullen of Clinton, Missouri; half brother, Kenneth Gene "KG" Simmons of Clinton, Missouri four grandchildren, Bo Kenneth Holland, Paige Holland (Thomas), Aleksandra Norlina Simmons and Norah Hope Simmons; as well as various step-siblings and nephews and many extended family members and friends.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated 1:30 PM, Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 11:30 until the service time of Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery where the United States Navy will present Military Honors.
