Kenneth Davis Stewart's Obituary
Kenneth Davis Stewart, 82 years of age, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida. Mr. Stewart was born in Daytona Beach, Florida on May 20, 1931, a son of the late Louis Edward Stewart and Hazel Marie Davis Stewart. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Penny Morris who passed away in November of 2013 and a grandson, Shawn Mills who passed in August of 2013. Mr. Stewart was a Registered Pharmacist and worked for over 30 years for the State of Florida. Kenneth was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and served with the Army Signal Corps as a high speed radio operator. He was a member of the Fort Myers American Legion. Kenneth enjoyed the operation of Ham radio and was a member of the American Radio Relay League and the Fort Myers Amateur Radio Club. He also had interests in astronomy and belonged to the S.W. Florida Astronomy Society and the Astronomy Society of the Pacific. He was a life resident of Florida. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Donna Stewart of Fort Myers, Florida; his daughters, Sherry Hunter of Fort Myers, Florida and Kathy (Paul) Mills of Deland, Florida; his grandchildren, Michelle Gage, Greg Spinelli and William Morris. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 2, 2014 the time to be announced in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, Florida 33907. The family will be present to receive friends on Thursday prior to the services. Interment will follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
