Kent Ross' Obituary
Kent Ross, a man of unwavering faith and profound devotion to his family, passed away
peacefully on April 8, 2026. Kent’s life was defined first and foremost by his relationship with God. A man of devout faith, he walked through life with a steady prayer on his lips and a heart anchored in his beliefs. This spiritual foundation guided every role he held - as a husband, a father, and a friend - providing him with a sense of peace and purpose that he shared generously with everyone he met.
The primary light of Kent’s life was his beloved wife, Gail Ross. Throughout their 41 years of marriage, Kent remained deeply committed to his "Sweetheart." Their four decades together were a beautiful testament to enduring love, mutual respect, and a partnership rooted in deep faith. For Kent, Gail was his greatest blessing and his constant priority.
Born in 1940 and raised in Elyria, Ohio, Kent also took great pride in his roots. He was a proud alumnus of The Ohio State University, and while his faith and family came first, his loyalty to his beloved Buckeyes was steadfast. On fall Saturdays, he was loyally rooted in his team, carrying the Ohio State spirit with him wherever he went.
Kent is survived by his wife, Gail; his children, Matthew, Nicole, Julie, and Scott; and his
cherished grandchildren, Eric, Claire, Morgan, and Dillon. He leaves behind a legacy of love, faithfulness, and strength.
