KEVIN CHARLES HIMSCHOOT
Kevin Charles Himschoot, 64, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away on Monday May 8, 2023. He was a life-long resident of Fort Myers. He was the son of the late Charles Edward Himschoot and Vivian Roth Himschoot also of Fort Myers.
Kevin was a graduate of Cypress Lake High School. After graduation, he worked at Southern Disposal owned by his father, Charles Himschoot. Kevin was skilled in many areas and worked with carpet laying companies and building seawalls. He also provided repairs for vehicles.
He had a passion for being on the water and fishing. Kevin had a kind heart and loved animals. He left behind his faithful dog Sheila and a rabbit Two Toes. He wanted to follow in his mom and dad's footsteps and enjoyed growing tomatoes and watermelon. He would always have a flower for those he came in contact with whether it was at a bank, store or even on the street.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Himschoot of Fort Myers and brother in law, James Giles of Tennessee. Kevin is survived by sisters, Karen Giles of Niota, Tennessee and Kristine Reffit of Fort Myers; one brother, Michael Himschoot of Fort Myers; an Aunt, Shirley Blomme of Hartwick, lowa; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Those unable to attend can leave condolences at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens.
There will be a viewing for Kevin at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Monday, May 15, 2023 from 4PM-6PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church.
