Kim Gregory Sutton's Obituary
Kim G Sutton, loving husband, father, and grandpa passed away on April 6, 2017 in Fort Myers, Florida.Survived by wife Toni Ferrell Sutton; daughter Heather Sutton-Lewis, son-in-law Christopher Lewis and grandson Sebastian; sister-in-law Terry Cromie and brother-in-law William Cromie all of Fort Myers, Florida; brother Keith Sutton and wife Donna of Little Rock, Arkansas. Kim was preceded in death by his first wife of 40 years, Jane Kennedy Sutton.Kim was born in Phoenix, AZ in 1947. He enlisted with the Marines in 1965, training in Naval Air Maintenance and serving with VMA-311 (Tomcats) operating at Chu Lai, Vietnam. Kim studied at University of Arkansas and proceeded to join the phone company. Throughout his successful career, Kim and his young family were world travelers living in Taiwan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy and Saudi Arabia. He retired in 2003 as Division Manager in International Telecommunications with Lucent Technologies, and moved from Chicago to Fort Myers, Florida.Kim was an active volunteer for Lee County Bird Patrol, working with his wife Toni and brother-in-law Bill to monitor the Lakes Park Rookery. Kim served as past member of the Lakes Park Enrichment Foundation Board, created a blog for Lakes Park and provided photographs for the park’s various signage.
