Kimberlee Ann Goode's Obituary
Kimberlee Ann Goode, 60, a 15 year resident of Fort Myers, FL, formerly of St. Clair, MI passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in the care of Hope Hospice. She was born June 16, 1961 in Pontiac, MI.
Kimberlee was a longtime nurse and for the first part of her career traveled and the second was as an educator and director. She had a love for life like no other and a laugh that was so contagious.
Kimberlee was destined to be a missionary, her nursing career only helped her accomplish it.
Kimberlee’s missionary journey started while she was still in High School. She went to France with Youth For Christ to work on a Christian youth camp. After graduating from college with a degree in Nursing, Kimberlee worked a couple years at a hospital in Pontiac, mi.
She eventually went to work for Word Of Life in Schroon Lake Ny., as the Director of the Health Center for the Bible Institute. During the summer months she would travel with the Bible Institute students on Missionary trips as the nurse and sponsor. They travelled to many countries in Europe, Eastern Europe, Russia, the Philippians and Israel.
Kimberlee worked at the Word of Life Bible Institute in Australia, for six months as the nurse and Dean of Women. She also served for a short time at the Word of Life Bible Institute in New Zealand in the same capacity.
Kimberlee also was able to continue her education receiving her Bachelors Degree, and her Masters of Science degree in Nursing.
Kimberlee eventually moved back to St. Clair, Mi and worked at the local hospital in Port Huron, Mi. During the summer months she would work at Lake Ann Baptist Camp in Lake Ann, Mi as the Camp nurse. Kimberlee had a passion for Missions and especially Christian Youth Camp Ministries, which she continued to support.
In 2007 Kimberlee moved to Ft. Myers, fl., and started working at Lee Health System. She continued to work there until her Lord took here home.
Kimberlee is survived by her loving parents, William Charles and Sharon Kay Goode of Fort Myers, FL; one brother, William Charles Goode, III and his wife, Kimberly of Fort Myers, FL; four nieces and nephews, William Charles Goode IV (Karina) of Babcock Ranch, FL, Ryan Goode of Dallas, TX, Ashley Knecht (Dr. Michael Knecht) of Fort Myers, FL and Chelsea Goode (Jenny Gillespie) of (Beaver Falls, PA); four great nieces and one great nephew, Charlie, Aria, Layne, Olivia and Gavin; her beloved dog, Max; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL. A Funeral Service will be celebrated 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Friends are welcome to visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the service time on Wednesday. For those unable to attend the service in person please click the link below to join via Live Stream.
