Kiyoko "Sachi" Confalone's Obituary
Kiyoko “Sachi” Confalone (nee Takeda) of North Ft. Myers, Florida, passed away at the age of 79, on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Ft. Myers, Florida. Kiyoko was born on December 30, 1940 in Hokkaido, Japan. She married Theodore L. Confalone (deceased 2002) in 1970 and moved to the United States in 1971. In 2003, she married George Pagella (deceased 2013). Sachi, as she is best known to her family and friends, had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to cook, and was a gifted painter. She was an avid animal lover, fully devoted throughout her life to loving and caring for many “family” dogs, cats, and birds. Sachi will be deeply and fondly remembered forever in the hearts and minds of those who loved her: Son, Earl Confalone of Mansfield, Ohio; step-son, John Confalone of Dayton, Ohio; daughter Sharon Wakita (Ector) Confalone Rodriquez of Phoenix, Arizona; step-daughters Linda (Robert) Confalone Clanton of Grand Prairie, Texas, Janice (Frank) Confalone Calcagni of Leander, Texas; sisters, Toshi (Bob) Dodge of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Mitsuko (Rick) Duncan of North Ft. Myers, Florida; niece Jackie (Clint) Lane of Fayetteville, North Carolina; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Harukicki Takeda, mother, Toki Saito, and step-daughter Diana Confalone Truax. Due to COVID-19, a small, private family memorial service will be held at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, Ft. Myers, Florida.
