Kristine Marie Guy (McDowell)'s Obituary
Kristine Marie Guy (McDowell), 64, of Fort Myers, FL, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, at Consulate Health Care of North Fort Myers.Born Oct. 6th, 1954, in Sandwich, IL, the daughter of Paul Robert and Shirley Marie (Foster) McDowell. She was a 1972 graduate of Shabbona High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Bradley University in Sociology. After college, she worked as a driver for Paul McDowell Trucking Company. She moved to the Naples/Fort Myers area in 1988 where she worked as a sales associate for multiple retail stores. She also was employed as a dispatcher for FedEx in Fort Myers, where she met her husband Arthur. They were married January 16th, 1993. In 2007, she received her massage therapist license and later worked at the Edison Mall and Southwest Florida International Airport doing chair massages. She was a member of Life Church in Fort Myers, FL and volunteered in the nursery for many years.She is survived by her husband, Arthur of Fort Myers, FL; one daughter, Gabrielle of Miami, FL; her mother, Shirley McDowell of Shabbona, IL; one sister, Ros (Gary) Richardson of Shabbona, IL; and six nieces.She was preceded in death by her father, Paul, in 2001; her sister, Paula, in 2011; and infant twin sisters in 1953.The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM ET, Saturday, Feb. 23, at Life Church, Fort Myers. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 AM CT, Saturday Mar. 2 at Rollo Congregational Church, Earlville, IL. Interment of cremated remains will follow at the Wyoming Cemetery in Paw Paw, IL
