Dear Val,Cory & Jennifer A warm friendly man, easy to talk to and good host. Enjoyed many good rounds of golf at Penfield Golf & Country Club, though always second best. Sorry for your loss Val,Cory & 'JJ'. Thoughts are with you at this very sad time. Paul. Val's UK Cousin.
Dear Val and family-Trip and I were so saddened to hear about Kurt's passing. He was a wonderful guy and the two of you made a great couple. So many memories -from high School and the class of '66 to New Year's Eve parties, get togethers and the famous canoe trip. I remember the last reunion and the pictures of the kids and finding out what was going on with the Leglers. It was so good to see you and Kurt-he put you down as the person he admired the most. It was always apparent how much his family meant to him. What a good job he did pulling all the reunions together-just like everything else he took on. He will be truly missed by so many and he has left us with so many memories that bring a smile to your face. I can hear his laugh infectious as it was. Our thoughts are with you and the kids and we send our heart felt sympathy. As Ever-Diane and Trip Pearse
Dear Val,I was so sorry to hear about Kurt's illness and passing. Do you remember our last class reunion when you sang to him? You were awesome, and it was obvious to all of us who watched you and the way that he reacted, that you two were made for each other…true soul mates. Please know that I have such wonderful memories of you two and I hope you know that you and your family are in my heart, and most especially in my prayers.Love you!Chris Long
Dear Val, Cory and Jennifer: My heartfelt sympathy is with you in your loss of your husband/father. Kurt was a good friend/relative who was always so helpful to Bob and me and to Bob's parents. We enjoyed our good times together and regret that Kurt did not have more time in retirement. You have truly lost a prince of a fellow. My love to all of you. Jean

To Val. No words can express my sadness in you losing your husband, Kirk. May he rest in peace and give you the strength to cope, which I know you will do. Take care and see you in September?Margie and Steve Lubinski
I am shocked to read this. Kurt and I were fraternity brothers at Albany State in the late 60s and early 70s. I just saw him a few years back at a reunion and he looked very well. Had that great distinctive laugh and seemed so happy and content with life. We shared many good times at Albany. My sympathies to his family and loved ones.
