Lauren Diane Proce's Obituary
Lauren Diane Proce, age 24, of Fort Myers, passed away suddenly & unexpectedly on September 15, 2021, in Key West, Florida. Lauren was born in Fort Myers, the loving and devoted daughter of William and Maureen Proce. Lauren attended Saint Francis Xavier Catholic School and Bishop Verot Catholic High School. She recently earned her bachelor’s degree in Digital Humanities with a focus in Graphic Design from The Florida State University. Lauren was recently engaged to her sweetheart of nine years, Matthew Thompson, and was joyously planning their wedding. Lauren was an enthusiastic gamer, known as Lolo, and was loved by all her online friends. She was an avid Seminole football and basketball fan, regularly attending games and was a loyal fan of Matt Prater, NFL kicker. She loved the outdoors especially fishing, boating, swimming, and traveling with family and friends. She was a caring and proud pet owner to her cherished dog Chanel. Lauren was devoted to her family and many friends who had the pleasure of knowing her. She meant so much to so many and meant the world to her family.
Lauren is survived by her loving parents, William and Maureen Proce, sister Emily Proce, and fiancé Matthew Thompson; aunt Marie Hagewood (Ron), uncle James Proce (Robert Oliver), aunt Lisa Barrett (William), and aunt Colleen Larkey (Ken) and numerous loving cousins, a large extended family, and future in-laws.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on September 24th, 10:30 am at The Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord, 8121 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers FL 33919. A reception will be held at the Parrish Hall immediately following the service. Private Interment Services will be held at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
