Laurianne E. Bennett's Obituary
Laurianne E. Bennett, 79, of Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of Pawtucket, Rhode Island passed away Thursday, May 7, 2020 peacefully in her sleep. She was born May 1st, 1941 in Central Falls, Rhode Island to the late Leo and Marguerite (Joubert) Desmarais.
Laurianne attended St. Cecilias’s Catholic French School in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. She was a master upholsterer for Martini and Son Upholstery in Providence, Rhode Island for many years before succumbing to rheumatoid arthritis. She later became a rental inspector for Priscilla Murphy Realty of Sanibel Island, Florida before retiring due to a job related injury,
Mrs.Bennett is survived by her husband, Carlyle Bennett of Fort Myers, Florida; her daughter, Nancy R. Raftery and her husband John of North Providence, RI; her son Donald L. Nadeau, and his wife Ellen of Lovettsville, VA; another son Steven L. Nadeau and his wife Andrea, of Smithfield,RI; seven grandchildren and six great-grand children.
She was the sister of Richard Desmarais of South Attleboro, MA and the late Leo Desmarais of CapeCod, MA.
Laurianne was a dedicated mother who treasured spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was an avid fan of author Danielle Steel, she also loved to play board games with family and followed the New England Patriot’s football team and Tiger Woods golf.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a private memorial service will be held for family and invited guests at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to be made to the American Lung Association in honor of: Laurianne Bennett
