Lawrence G. “Larry” Lemire, 92, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his loving family in Westfield, Massachusetts on Wednesday, January 20, 2016.Born in Lowell, August 15, 1923, Larry owned and operated several restaurants in the Western Mass area including the Cloud 9 Lounge and Terrace Dining Room at Bradley Airport, the Wayside Inn in West Springfield and the Rendezvous Restaurant in Stafford Springs. He retired in 1970 to Florida and Cancun, MX. Larry enjoyed traveling, music and was a collector of model cars.His beloved wife of 69 years, Noella (Michel) Lemire passed away in 2013. He leaves his loving children, Ronald and his wife Barbara of Westfield, Richard and his wife Joyce of Springfield, Roy and his wife Avis of Westfield, Ruth Lemire and Rene and his wife Abby all of North Ft. Myers, FL and Raymond and his wife Denise of Cape Coral, FL, his sister, Doris Grimard of North Ft. Myers, FL, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and was predeceased by a brother Robert.A Memorial Service for Larry will be celebrated by Deacon Anthony F. DiLorenzo at 10:45 AM on Saturday, February 20, 2016 in the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Friends will be received at the funeral home immediately preceding the service beginning at 10:00 AM.
