Lee Edward Miller's Obituary
Lee Edward Miller of Cape Coral, Florida and formerly of Plainfield, Indiana passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Thursday, August 2, 2018 following some recent health challenges. He was 82 years old.Lee was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 20, 1935 and was the proud son to Ruth Marilyn (Atwell) and Bernard Edward Miller. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force who served during the Korean War and was later a reservist for the United States Navy. He served as Police Officer for the City of Plainfield, Indiana and was subsequently promoted to Chief of Police for several years before retiring to Southwest Florida. He was married to and leaves behind his wife Marcell (Neal) Miller. Also left to cherish his memory are his three children, eight grandchildren, multiple great-grandchildren, his brother Wayne and sister Joyce.A Graveside Service for Lee will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 11, 2018 inside the Prayer Garden section of Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Arrangements for Lee’s final care have been entrusted to Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
