Leo Gelfer's Obituary
Leo Gelfer of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 8, 2016 in Hope Hospice – HealthPark. He was 87. He was born January 29, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois the beautiful son of the late Jacob and Jennie Gelfer. Leo retired from the Boeing Corporation as a Quality Assurance Representative. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Sloan. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 42 years, Sally Gelfer; his loving daughter Jennifer Page and her husband, Hiram Gregory Page. He also leaves his dear sister, Zelda Hermann and his loving grandson, Justin Gregory Page. Visitation will be 11am – 1pm with funeral services at 1pm, Saturday, October 15, 2016 in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33907. Immediately following the ceremonies, the United States Air Force will conduct military honors. He will be laid to rest in the Garden of Peace Mausoleum of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
