Leona M. Long's Obituary
Leona M. Long, 100 years old, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 after a recent illness.Leona was born April 17, 1917 in New Breman, New York to the late Chris and Mary Noftsier.Before moving to Cape Coral in 1977, she resided in Utica, New York.Leona is survived by two sons, Donald Loson (Joyce) of Old Forge, New York and Stanley Loson (Carol) of Schenectady, New York. Step-children are Louis Long (Charlene) of Washington state, Maureen Aceto (fiancé John) of Orlando, Florida and Christine (Frank) Yacco. She is survived by eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Sadly, she is preceded in death by her husband Ralph Long and son Bruce Loson.A Memorial Service for Leona will be celebrated at 1:30 PM inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida, (239) 936-0555. Guests will be received for a half-hour preceding this service beginning at 1:00 pm also inside the funeral home chapel.
